Whatever your application, start your design easily using Trinamic's toolkits shortening design cycles and improving product experience. Each EVAL KIT gives you direct access to all registers using Trinamic's own software, allowing you to develop your own firmware.

Start with the Landungsbrücke

Depending on the kit of your choice, the Landungsbrücke or Startrampe interface board forms the bridge between your PC and Trinamic's powerful ICs.

Connect the Evaluation Board

Connect the preferred evaluation board with the interface board using the Eselsbrücke connector board. You can even link a few evaluation boards together!

Discover Powerful Technologies

Explore the full potential of Trinamic's solutions using the free TMCL-IDE software. This GUI allows for easy programming and features ready-to-use code libraries.

Besides EVAL KITs, most Trinamic chips are also available as breakout boards. These BOBs contain everything that's needed for rapid prototyping and can be used on a breadboard or with flying wires, as all sensitive signals such as sense lines are routed on the BOBs themselves. Moreover, the BOBs are open-source, meaning you can copy the design and tweak it to your own specific needs.

Open Source Hardware

 

Open-source hardware shares much of the principles and approach of free and open-source software.

We believe that customers should be able to study our designs, understand how they work, adapt, and use them as appropiate in their projects.

As part of the Trinamic philosophy, we release all original design files of our evaluation boards. What's more, embedding Trinamic reference design in commercial products does not require you to disclose or open-source your own design.

Software

 

The software is the key bringing hardware to life. All boards from the Landungsbrücke evaluation system are supported by the TMCL-IDE.

From a register browser to parameterization assistants, the IDE is your tool to get started. Just connect motors and a computer, start the TMCL-IDE, and with just a few mouse clicks your motor is running.

Regardless of your MCU and programming style, a comprehensive API package guides you to develop your own firmware. Routines from low-level register access to kinematic calculations pave your way to controlled motion.
