Hall effect info

Postby rlmack72 » 16 Feb 2011, 13:34

I am trying to control a motor (SWIS) that has its hall effect sensors labeled as Hu Hv Hw instead of H1 H2 H3, I have hooked them up respectively and even reversed them and inverted them but still the motor will only go in only direction. I am thinking its something that I am over looking and missed. Also to note that the hall error light does come on telling me that something is wrong. I am looking for any input that someone can give me. The motor specs are as follows:

24VDC
200W
3000 RPM
12 poles

Here is a link to the manufacturers spec. The 150W motor is the same as the 200W and it has 2 separate connection for power and halls:

Not getting this to work is making me :banghad:

If the hall error light comes on (by the way, what kind of module is it?) then you may need to add pull-up resistors to the hall sensors (between the hall sensor input an +5V).
