TMCM-170 Help!

Postby wassenberg » 11 Aug 2010, 10:27

Hello,

I use TMCM-170 for driving our synchronousmotor with Hallsensor and optic encode. The communication interface is RS232. With TMCM-170/TMCM-171 Basic Control & Diagnostics V1.02 the motor run no problem. Module Type and version is TMCM-170 V1.09.

I try to connect the TMCM-170 with TMCL-IDE, but use TMCL-IDE I cann't find the device. Today I just close the Demo Software Basic Control TMCM-170 and try again to connect the deviese use TMCL-IDE, the communication is there. But thr motor doesn't work! The problem is, now I want to use Demosoftware to control the motor again, but the communication is not there. Can somebody help me? How can I establish the communication? Thanks~~

Check the baud-rate of TMCM-170 and PC-host (default is 9600 baud) and the COM port isn't connected to an other device, please.

I have changed the baud-rate. But it still havn't connection. I have two eletronic module TMCM-170. Another module can with the same COM port connect the TMCM-170/TMCM-171 Basic Control & Diagnostics V1.02 without problem. So I'm not sure ob I changed the module firmware. How can I reset the Module?
(I'm sorry, this question I have benn asked in another topic (Modules for BLDC Motors), you can just answer me once, thank you!)

Test all possible baud-rates. If this doesn't work, you can reset the module by connecting pin OVT LED and /STOP at power on.
