TMCM-140 Change of Crystal

TMCM-140 Change of Crystal

Postby StepperDriver » 28 Feb 2012, 16:08

I'm will use the TMCM-140-42-SE in a subsea application. This means that the driver board will be in a oilfilled pressureized box.
Because of that I will need to replace the crystal to another one that can be used in oilfilled pressurezied applications.

I would like to have a circuit drawing of how the crystal is connected to the microcontroller and also the manufacture and the part of the crystal.

Please find below an extract from layout of the TMCM-140 electronics with the processor (IC100) and crystal (Q100) nearby.

A 16MHz SMT crystal is used in this design with 4 landing pads (see picture below), crystal package size is 7.5mm x 5mm.

Crystal is Jauch JXS75, crystal capacitors are 10pF each.
