Clear the encoder counter by N channel of encode

Clear the encoder counter by N channel of encode

Postby Gavy » 29 Feb 2012, 15:12

Dear Sir
Our application is require the encoder position counter set(GAP 209) to zero automatically at the next N channel,we are using TMCM-351-E
But we don't know how to use it,we add 4 to sap 210,after that we used GAP 209 ,the encoder value is fixed,
Can you give me help how to use it?

Best Regards,

Do you know if the null channel is active high or active low? To check if it works, first set the encoder counter (parameter 209) to a very high value. Then turn the encoder one round and see how the encoder counter behaves. If the encoder counter suddenly has a low value (near zero) the null channel works.

I want to know how to set 210 ?

It depends on the encoder pre-scaler that you need. If for example you need a prescaler of 1 uses SAP 210, 0, 516 (516=512 (for prescaler 1) + 4 (for clear encoder at N signal)).
