TMCM-102: setting the initial state of the outputs

Postby chrWolz » 27 Oct 2008, 12:52

Hello,

I'm wondering if there's a possibility to set the initial state of the TTL/opto-outputs of the TMCM-102 module?

Thanks you and regards,
Christoph Wolz.

Sorry, but there is no direct way to change the initial state of the outputs. The only way to overcome this problem is to write a TMCL program that sets the outputs the way you would like them at startup and make this program start automatically. But please note that there will then be a slight delay, so they will first have the normal startup setting, and after some milliseconds (after the TMCL program has been started and the necessary commands have been executed) the outputs will have the state that you would like to have.

hardware-startup

Thanks for your reply, good hint.
So from the hardware-perspective they are low (no tristate-high impedance-state) on startup?

Is the sink-/source current per pin and overall limited as usally on the AVR-controllers?

Regards, Christoph.

Yes, they are low on startup (not tri-stated). As they are directly connected to port pins of the AT90CAN128, the normal limits for AVR controllers apply.
