Sixpack 2 fails to boot, shows 8 then F and resets in loop.

Hi,

I have a Sixpack 2 unit which on power up simply shows a 8 briefly and then shows F while flashing its Reset LED, the Data and +5v led remain lit solidly. I notice the manual say that it is possible to swap the flash with another unit but I only have the one unit! It does not seem to be able to connect with the unit over RS232 either with the SQPack or PackProg applications so I am not sure how to reflash the firmware? I have the .hex download from the support page but I guess manually writing this to the micro would loose the bootloader and misalight the code?

The unit has never been installed or used but has been on a shelf for a while as it was left over from a project that was cancelled, it is a nice bit of kit and I would like to use it - I am not sure how it has ended up with what seems to be corrupt firmware but any advice is most appreciated!

Dear Alex, this module probably has a processor system communication issue. I think, you cannot solve yourself - please send in for repair, we will check and update. Please get an RMA number from our RMA @ address.
