Cannot Program USB-to-X Firmware

Cannot Program USB-to-X Firmware

Postby zjzs » 20 Nov 2010, 04:06

Hey I need help.

I have a USB-2X V2.0 unit with a TMCM110 board. I open the USB-to-X V1.02 software and load the USB2X_V210.s19...however when I hit start it says: "Trying to enter boot mode"...then after a few seconds says: "Cannot reach boot mode!"

I have jumped pins 1 and 3 and waited for quick flashing LED and followed the steps and that has not solved the problem. I've searched the forums and they say "reset the pins then reinstall the firmware"...did one can't do the other.

Someone please help.

Thanks in advance,
Jon

At first we need to know what kind of TMCM-110 you have (RS232, RS485, IIC?). If you have a TMCM-110 with IIC interface: a firmware update of this module via IIC is not possible. But they are normally programmed with one of the latest firmware revisions, so that you normally do not need to perform an update.
Please check the firmware revision of your TMCM-110 (in the TMCL-IDE, choose Setup/Configure Module/Others, click the "Get" button in the "Firmware Revison" section) so that we can find out if an update is really needed.
