Michael Randt, Founder and CEO of the TRINAMIC Motion Control GmbH & Co. KG.
In 1998, Michael Randt and colleagues founded TRINAMIC Microchips GmbH as one of the early European fabless semiconductor companies. The company specializes in the design and marketing of motion control chips for the automotive, automation and consumer electronics industries. Prior to that, Randt was the managing director of his own company, NEMONOS GmbH, an engineering service provider for the development of high-tech solutions. In 1998, the development of custom designs in drive engineering, measuring technique and transputer/DSP lead to the completion of the first motion control chip, the TMC453 and in the same year, the foundation of TRINAMIC Microchips GmbH. In 2004 Michael Randt and colleagues founded the TRINAMIC Motion Control GmbH & Co. KG. Michael Randt started his career in 1988 as director of hardware development for the aerospace start up company "AERO DATA". He holds a degree in electrical engineering.

bdwersteg  Bernhard Dwersteg, R&D Director, CTO and Founder
One of the founding members of the company, Bernhard Dwersteg is in charge of the design and development of TRINAMIC 's motion control chips sine 1998. Prior to this role, he held the position of technical project leader and chip developer of a EU supported motion control chip project at Hamburg University. Bernhard Dwersteg began his career as IC and system designer for NEMONOS GmbH, an engineering service provider for the development of high-tech solutions. Bernhard Dwersteg holds a degree in information technology from the University of Hamburg.
llarsson Dr. Lars Larsson, Senior IC Designer, Head of Quality, COO and Founder
One of the founding members of the company, Dr. Lars Larsson, is in charge of development and design of TRINAMIC 's motion control chips as a Senior IC Designer. Dr. Lars Larsson began his career as IC designer as a research assistant at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Hamburg in 1993, where he researched within the area of neural networks and digital processing of analog video signals within the context of VLSI design and its validation. Dr. Lars Larsson starts his career within the industrial context in 2000 as a Senior IC Designer of the TRINAMIC Microchips GmbH. In 2001 he received his PhD from the Department of Computer Science of the University of Hamburg. Dr. Lars Larsson holds a degree in physics from the University of Hamburg.
